MNSCBWI Illustrator Coordinator Announcement

Thank you to everyone who participated in providing input and applied for the MNSCBWI Illustrator Coordinator position. We were very lucky to have so many qualified candidates! The choice was truly a difficult one to make.

It is my pleasure to introduce our new MNSCBWI Illustrator Coordinator, Alicia Schwab!

Alicia has been a member of SCBWI since 2001 and has been volunteering for as long as I can remember. She has a positive can-do attitude and is passionate about illustration and children’s books.

As a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a BFA, concentrating in Graphic Design, Alicia has held a variety of full-time and volunteer positions around the world. The first book she illustrated was for a publisher in Germany!

Alicia comes prepared with great ideas for future events and looks forward to working hard to create a welcoming and supportive community for illustrators and writers alike. Please join me in welcoming her as our new MNSCBWI Illustrator Coordinator.
